Mrs. Belinda Gail Simpkins, a wonderful mother and caring soul, departed this life on Monday, December 22, 2022.
Gail was born in a small house in Trenton, South Carolina on August 20, 1955 to the late Otis Williams and Grace Mae Butler.
She was blessed with a loving family. She married the late Havord Simpkins, and they created a beautiful family. They shared over 30 years creating wonderful memories filled with love.
Gail was a devoted mother, daughter, and family woman. Early in her childhood, Gail was a member of Jeter Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina. After relocating to Florence, South Carolina, she attended New Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Norman Gamble.
She cherished spending quality time and enjoying the simple pleasures in life with her family. She loved reading scripture, singing, and was a faithful servant that loved the Lord trusting in and leaning on Him completely.
To know Gail’s angelic spirit, was to love her. She was pure hearted and the sweetest woman to everyone who knew her. Her works have spoken for themselves.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Havord Simpkins; a son, Reginald Lamont Simpkins; her father, Otis Williams; and a son-in-love, Cedric Brigman.
Gail leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother Grace Williams of Edgefield South Carolina, four children, Monika Brigman of Florence South Carolina, Chaka Simpkins of Atlanta, Georgia, Brandon Simpkins of Atlanta Georgia; and Notoyia Simpkins of Atlanta Georgia; two grandchildren, Taylor McRae of Atlanta, Georgia and Zion Brigman of Florence South Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Gail would want us to keep her legacy alive by continuing to love unconditionally and trusting in God that everything will be his will.
She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Please keep the family of Belinda Simpkins in your thoughts and prayers.
