The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC carefully considered this recommendation and ask that additional guest please participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.

A Private Graveside Service for Mr. Buster Leroy Davis will be conducted 11 AM Friday, August 21, 2020 at Union Cemetery, 100 South Fairview Street, Florence, South Carolina. Interment will follow, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Mr. Buster Leroy Davis was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina to the late Clarence Davis, Sr. and Lucille Brown Davis. He departed this life on Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Buster was educated in the Public Schools of Florence, South Carolina. He furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical and received an Associate Degree in Mechanics.

Buster known to many as “Gramps” was a member of Baha’i Faith of Florence, South Carolina.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Davis, Jr, and Lucille Brown Davis; and three brothers, Clarence “Deke” Davis, Jr., Walter Davis, and Antonio Cannon.

Buster leaves to cherish his memories: a special sister-in-law, Ellen Scipio Davis; a brother, Iselle Williams of Florence, South Carolina; two nieces, Letha Ann Davis of Florence, South Carolina and Yvonne Davis of Blythewood, South Carolina; one nephew, Donnie Davis of Charleston, South Carolina; and a host of close relatives; and friends.

Buster was one of the nicest, kindest, most likable gentleman I had the pleasure of knowing for many years.. Buster had a unique sense of humor, enjoyed helping others and he will be sadly missed. Sympathy and prayers are with Ann, other family members and friends. Rest In Peace.
