Mrs. Carrie Mae Lewis Keels was born November 7, 1953 to the late Lisha Lewis and Josephine Kelly Keels in Florence, South Carolina. She transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Regency Hospital in Florence, South Carolina.

Carrie was a graduate of West Florence High School Class of 1972.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in the Claussen Community.

Carrie was employed at Angels In Daycare until she retired in 2012.

Carrie was joined in holy matrimony to Elbert Louis Keels. To this union two children were born, Kimberly and Kelli.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Sammie Lee Kelly, Sr.; and a nephew, Sammie Lee Kelly, Jr.

Carrie leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Elbert Lewis Keels of Florence, South Carolina; two daughters, Kimberly Shanae Keels and Kelli Denae Keels both of the home; two grandchildren, Karter Noel Kansas Kirksey and Kywan Monquel Keels-Samuel of the home; six siblings, Jessie Walker, Arthur Lewis, Leo (Toni) Lewis, Clara Lewis Brockington, and Marcus (Javonnia) Kelly all of Florence, South Carolina, and Jerell Mills (Shacarra Moss) of Florida; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Anita) Keels, Sara Taylor, and Patricia (Preston) Dixon all of Timmonsville, South Carolina, Terry Keels and Travis Hicks both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Genevive Keels of Baltimore, Maryland; a special daughter, April Green of Pamplico, South Carolina; four special grandchildren, Rahnasia Green and Timlasia Praylow of Pamplico, South Carolina, Jay’veon White and Peyton Shaw both of Florence, South Carolina; a special thanks to Andre Timmons of Florence, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
