Christopher Bailey

Christopher Veshawn Bailey was born on May 23, 1973 in Darlington County, SC to the late Samuel Harrison and Vermell S. Bailey. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

“Chris’ as he was affectionally known was educated in Darlington County at Hartsville Senior High where he later obtained a GED. While enrolled at Hartsville Senior High, he was a football player and on the boxing team. 

“Chris” was employed with Darlington Veneer as a forklift driver.

“Chris” enjoyed grilling, watching football and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a very respectful, loving and caring father, son, brother and partner. His friendship meant so much to so many. His presence and grace will truly be missed, and he will always be remembered by his family and friends. 

“Chris” was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Brown Bailey; sisters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Bailey Rhodes and LeeAnn Bailey.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his fiancée, Kendra Robinson; sons, Jamaris Bailey, Raheem Bailey and Ky-Ran J. McLeod; stepsons, Darrius Goodwin, Justin Goodwin and Patrick Goodwin; stepdaughters, Wakeisha Jackson and Gabrielle Noble; three sisters, Carolyn Smith, Tracy (Trenton) Young and Sammara (Michael) Goodson; one brothers, Terrell (Tisha) Bailey; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends at 617 Lakeview Boulevard, Hartsville. Please wear a mask.
