Clemmie A. Bacote

October 24, 1942 — February 22, 2026

Clemmie A. Rivers Bacote was born October 24, 1942 to the late Clifford and the late Mattie Lane Rivers. She departed this earthly journey on February 22, 2026 at Southland Health Center. 

Clemmies education began at Holmes School in East Florence. She was 1961 graduate of Wilson Senior High School. 

Clemmie was an East Florence kid having grown up on Pine Street.

Clemmie was married to the love of her life, the late Earl Leverne Bacote.

Clemmie was a diligent worker. She worked for Electric Motors. Later, she worked at ESAB until her health failed.

Clemmie found joy in gardening. She loved growing flowers and having her yard looking beautiful.

Clemmie did not get out often. She maintained relationships with friends and family via telephone.

Clemmie was predeceased in death by her parent, Clifford and the late Mattie Lane Rivers and her older brother, Eddie "Sonny Boy" Lane.

Left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Rachelle Lawson and Deidra (Alphonso) Josey; two grandchildren, Alphonso Josey Jr. and Danielle Josey; two God-daughters, LaKeisha Waiters and Kimberly Jupiter; two nieces and three nephews; a host of other family and family.
