Clyde C. Williams

Clyde Christopher Williams, fondly known as “Clyde”, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026. He was born in Florence, SC on October 12, 1965, to Rosa Lee Williams and Edward McKnight, Jr.

Clyde began his early education in the public schools of Florence Public School District One and graduated from South Florence High School.

Clyde embarked on his career path with his first job at Kimbrell’s in Florence and Dixie Cup in Darlington. Growing up as the middle child among nine siblings, Clyde had a love for sports, particularly the NFL (49ers) and activities such as fishing. Clyde's lasting impact is one of love and cherished remembrance.

Clyde was preceded in death by his two loving sisters, Gloria Denise McKnight and Mary Lee Williams.

Clyde is survived by his daughters, Adrian Christal White and Allison Charity White; five grandchildren; sisters, Ms. Sara Ann Williams, Mrs. Katie Williams Marks (P.J.), Ms. Angela Williams of Florence, SC, and Ms. Shirley Williams Carter (Otis) of Durham, NC; brothers, Edward Williams McKnight of New York and Rochelle Marcus Williamson of Florence, SC; special friend, Darlene Frazier; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
