Funeral service for Ms. Cynthia Annette Johnson will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Savannah Grove Baptist Church, 2620 Alligator Rd., Effingham directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC. The sun rose on Cynthia Annette Johnson on Saturday, June 30, 1957 and set for her on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was a woman of intellect, humor and talent who had a profound impact on the individuals in her life. She lived her life on her own terms surrounded by love. Cynthia doted on her only son and grandsons who were the center of her life. She lived a full life. Cynthia was educated in the public schools of Florence, South Carolina. Always the standout student, Cynthia graduated early, but she still claimed membership in the Wilson High School Class of 1975. Cynthia was known for her demonstrated academic skills and natural talent. She studied at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina. During her adult life she worked in a variety of industries. Those who knew her best attest to her organizational skills and ability to bring order to chaos. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, William A. Johnson, his wife Rosa Johnson and a sister, Karen Croston. The father who supported her growth and development, Edward Bradley, also preceded her in death. Her loving mother, Sudie (Nelson) Moses of Florence, lives to celebrate her memory. Her siblings include brothers: George (Tina) Bradley of Columbia,SC; Alphonso (LaTonya) Bradley of Florence; William A. “Chip” Johnson, Jr. of Claymont DE; and Lyndon Troy (Natalie) Johnson of Wilmington, DE. Her sisters are Lethonia “Peaches” (John) Barnes of Florence, Denise Middleton of Charlotte, NC; Cornelia Cain; and Marie (Bob) Pleasant of Philadelphia, PA. Other siblings who love her are Sean Middleton of Charlotte, NC and Evette Bradley of Florence. She leaves to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy her son Daniel (Megan) Johnson and two grandsons, Gordan and Braxton Johnson of Florence. She shared a special bond with her niece Brittany Barnes of Charlotte, NC. Her memories are kept alive by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, as well as a host of family and friends.
