Mr. Eddie Floyd Walston was granted eternal rest on Saturday, March 29, 2025. He was born on June 19, 1947, to the late Lenard Walston and Mary Della Sherrod Walston of Williamston, North Carolina.
Eddie Floyd Walston was educated in the public schools of Williamston, North Carolina, where he graduated from E. J. Hayes High School in 1968. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a Sergeant for four years. After being discharged, he joined the Connecticut National Guard.
Eddie Floyd Walston was employed with the City of Stamford as a Printer in the Printing Department until his retirement.
Eddie had a great love of fishing and cooking on the grill while socializing with his buddies.
Preceding him in death are his parents; one sister, Sabra Mazyck; and five brothers, John Sherrod, Lenard, Jr., Jimmy Earl, Raymond, and Fred Walston.
Loving memories will always be in the hearts of his wife, Geraldine; two sisters, Loraine Walston of Stamford, Connecticut and Mary Brown of Norwalk, Connecticut; one brother, Johnny Mack Walston of Stamford, Connecticut; three sisters-in-law, Nadine H. (Melvin) Smith of Darlington, South Carolina, Wilhelmena (Dwight) Talton and Hermenia King both of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
