Funeral Service for Mrs. Emma Louise "Shug" Black Holloway will be conducted 12 Noon Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Mount Sinai Holiness Church, 102 West Liberty Street, Florence, South Carolina. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.
Emma Louise “Shug” Black Holloway was born on January 9, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Bossie and Jessie Lee Morris. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 27, 2020 to be home with her Lord and Savior. Emma received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no sadness or tears.
Emma was a member of Mount Sinai Holiness Church in Florence, South Carolina.
Emma was a loving doting mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Emma was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa R. Black Young, a brother, Larry Morris; a special aunt, Louise Bryd; and a nephew, Chuck Morris.
Emma left to cherish her precious memories: her children, Lawrence (Cheri), Randy, Lonnie, Betsy, Mark Black, Pauline Frierson (Gary), Geraldine Johnson, Rodericks (Monica), Charlie Quillens, Jr.; 21 grandchildren, Ron (Renetha), Antione, Tajh, Corrina, Quenton, Devon, Latonya, Valencia, Ranisha, Troyeshia, Lasey (Fred), Stephen (Tys’jay), Jada, Raven, Telmya, Artiyanna, Ethan, Aryn, Tannis,and Eva (Harry); 27 great grandchildren; one brother, Harry Lee Morris (Debra); a sister, Joann Backus; 2 nephews, Dexter (Raveille) and Derrick Morris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
