Evelyn Bahadour-Salmon, a loving wife, beloved mother of three children, and grandmother of eight grandchildren transitioned into her final rest on July 11, 2026 in Florence, South Carolina.
Evelyn was born in the beautiful island of Jamaica in the parish of Westmoreland on March 14, 1958, to Eufred Bahadour and Clarice Henry. In 2002, she married the love of her life, Albert “Charlie” Salmon.
A deeply religious person, Evelyn believed Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and was a long-time member of the Fellowship SDA Church in Tallahassee, FL, and a recent member of the Mt. Olive SDA Church in Marion, SC and the New Life SDA Church in Lake City, SC. She was active in her churches serving as a Deaconess and a member of the Usher Ministry.
Evelyn was a home care-taker for Mr. Mike and Angie Badaloo for many years, and forged a close family bond with them. She loved gardening and being outdoors tending to her plants, feeding the chickens, and taking care of the neighborhood cats. She was a hard worker, would give her last to anyone in need, and was always ready to help.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eufred Bahadour and Clarice Henry, as well as her sister, Daphne Essor.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Albert “Charlie” Salmon; her three children, Rose-Marie Bates (Brian) of Florence, SC, Anthony “Junior” Salmon (Anniekay) of Westmoreland, Jamaica, and Rasheed Salmon (Keyonda) of Columbia, MD, and step-children Julie Salmon and Hannif Salmon—both of Canada; her siblings, David Keith Bahadour, Leon Harris Bahadour, Eva Bahadour, Harry Suragh, and Adran “Prince” Suragh—all of Jamaica; eight grandchildren (who were her pride and joy), Rasheel Salmon, Kiara Salmon, Jadon Bates, Joshua Bates, Anthonio Salmon, Naveen Salmon, Aiden Salmon, and Kenya Salmon and a host of other relatives and friends.
Please keep the family of Evelyn Bahadour Salmon in your thoughts and prayers.
