Faye A. Gurley

Faye Ann Gurley was born on March 13, 1960, in Florence, South Carolina, the second daughter of the late Nathaniel Sr. and Rosa Ann Gurley. After her mother’s death, she helped her father raise her younger siblings. She entered into eternal peace on February 24, 2023, at FutureCare – Pineview Rehabilitation Center.

Early in life, Faye attended the public schools in Florence, South Carolina. She was a 1978 graduate of South Florence High School. She was employed with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs for over 40 years. She was a dedicated member of Saint Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Usher Board until her health declined.

Faye was an extremely loving mother, “Nani”, sister, and friend. She was a true angel with an unselfish, loving heart. She willingly gave so much of herself to her family, friends, and community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, India L. Gurley-Eagleton; a sister, Cynthia Pringle; and a godson, Tysumner Gurley.

Left to cherish her memories are her significant other, Frank Eagleton of the home; two daughters, Monique (Chad) Pearson of Greensboro, North Carolina and Kambria Gurley-Eagleton of Cary, North Carolina; two grandsons, Chandler Pearson and Chaz Pearson both of Greensboro, North Carolina; five sisters, Mary White, Cathy Gurley, Tammy (Jeffrey) Timmons, Jeanette Gurley all of Florence, South Carolina and Annette Wilson of Lowell, Massachusetts; two brothers; Nathaniel Gurley, Jr. and Thomas Driggers both of Florence, South Carolina; two special nieces who she helped raised, Chastity (Nicholas) Hunter and Jasmine (Tyler) Wells both of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.
