Frank A. Johnson

September 17, 1965 — August 9, 2024

Frank Arnold Johnson, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, peacefully passed on August 9th, 2024 surrounded by his loving mother, sister, and brothers.

Frank, fondly known as Nitty, was the eldest child of Dargan and Claretha (B.) Johnson born on September 17, 1965 in Florence, SC.

Frank faithfully accepted Christ in 1977 as a member of Meadow Prong Baptist Church. Frank attended Wilson High School in Florence, SC class of 1984. He then went to further his education at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC. Frank was a hardworking, committed and high-spirited employee at Wilson Trucking and UPS for over 20 great and successful years.

Above all, Frank loved enjoying his life and spending time with his family. Frank was an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing the drums, he loved cars, and was a diehard Bulldogs and Falcons fan. Frank owned three Schnauzers named Bentley, Popcorn and Savannah whom he dearly loved. Frank enjoyed attending concerts, singing, dancing, attending family functions, and regularly speaking with his mother, brothers and sister. Frank was an esteemed Mason and Shriner, Al-Karim Temple No. 242 Riverdale as he continued his life journey and growth while remaining devoted to his family, his faith, his country and his fraternity.

Frank could be described as a comical, smooth, confident, energetic and lighthearted man. Frank’s jovial presence, kind eyes and radiant smile alone could fill a room. Accurately, he was an all around lively, jubilant and loving man. Those having the pleasure to enjoy and experience his essence, are truly fortunate as he will be greatly missed by all.

Frank’s loving spirit is carried on by his mother Claretha B. Johnson, his son Bradley Johnson, his brothers Michael Johnson (Rashawn) and Dwayne Johnson (Carolina) and his sister Stephanie Cooper (Marshall). He lovingly leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and countless friends. Preceding him in peace was his father, Dargan Johnson.
