Gardenia Wells

Mrs. Gardenia Cooper Wells was the daughter of the late John Wesley Cooper and the late Annie Calhoun. She was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on February 19, 1941. She departed her earthly life on March 7, 2026 at her residence.

Gardenia received her public education at Tomlinson High School in Kingstree, South Carolina. Upon graduation, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland and later to Bridgeport, Connecticut and worked in several restaurants and as a housekeeper. She transitioned to Florence, South Carolina in the early 1970's.

Gardenia worshipped with the House of God Florence, Keith Dominion under the leadership of the late State Elder Elijah Green and until her demise under Elder Bobby Hendley for 29 years.

Ms. Wells was the widow of the late Joseph Wells.

She leaves to cherish her memories a sister, Clara Madison of Baltimore, Maryland and bonus children, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
