Harry Joe Smalls was born on June 29, 1953 to the late Cora Smalls and Willie Thompson. He entered eternal rest on May 27, 2026.

Although he was born and raised in South Carolina, Harry made New York “The Bronx” his home for more than 50 years, where he built a life, raised his family, formed everlasting friendships and became a respected member of his community.

Harry was a proud graduate of Wilson High School In South Carolina, He was known for his strong work ethic kind heart, and dedication to his loved ones. He worked for many years at City Harvest; He spent his final working days there & along the line met his longtime best friend Lex who he shared many interests with (Sports & Food)

He was respected by his coworkers and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Harry loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed some of life's simple pleasures. especially fried chicken and listening to music and Biggie Smalls especially which always brought him joy. He will be remembered for his loving spirit, sense of humor, and the many memories he created with family and friends.

Harry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest source of joy was his family, and he took pride in witnessing the growth, accomplishments, and success of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren

Harry will enter eternal death with his beloved wife, Francine Jestine Singleton-Smalls; his mother, Cora Smalls; his father, Willie Thompson; and his beloved aunts, Lena Mae Law and Dorothy Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Carolina Wilson, Patricia Jackson, Lashon Singleton-Williams, Andrea Smalls (Tay), Errick Smalls, Tammeeka Stroughn, Latayfia Smalls and Derrick Smalls (AKA ‘’BABY BOY ‘’)

He is also survived by his sisters, Jalonda Smalls and Anita Wright; his brothers, Wayne Wright and Kevin Bernard Robinson; his nephew, Keshaun Smalls; his niece, Sherrell Wright; his loving uncle, Frank Smalls; and his loving aunt, Joann Deas.

He also leaves behind fourteen cherished grandchildren: Quoshonda Roscoe, Tyreek Goodman, Raymond Jackson Jr., Tasharee Arnold, Dakota Smalls, Derraya Bengcion, Stefon Perry, Yushon Stroughn, Alizay Stroughn, Anyaa Ramos, Khamani Ramos, Wilshawn Bush, Tayonna Bush, and Ericka Smalls.

In addition, he was blessed with ten beloved great-grandchildren: Zamaya Lowrie, Clarence Lowrie, Rihanna Lowrie, Caiden Lowrie, Jayce Battle, Amir Webb, Syonn Perry, Ariaa Perry, Ma'Kynize Carter, Lael Goodman and Amon Jackson

Although he is no longer with us physically, his spirit, love, and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.
