Mr. Jamari Maurice “Mari” Montgomery was born on June 18, 2007, to Eric and Jenna Montgomery. On Sunday, October 30, 2022, GOD called, and Jamari answered, his race was finished, and his course was completed.
“Mari” as he was affectionately called, was a Freshman at Hartsville High School. He played football on the Hartsville High School Junior Varsity Football Team as a Defensive End.
“Mari” accepted Christ at an early age and attended Christ Cathedral Church in Hartsville, South Carolina under the leadership of Reverend Christopher Morgan.
“Mari” loved dirt bikes and go carts, anything with a motor, taking it apart and putting it back together.
“Mari” was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William J. Montgomery; maternal grandfather, Robert L. Josey; and an uncle, Donyett P. Josey.
Mr. Jamari Maurice Montgomery leaves behind to cherish his precious memories: his parents, Eric and Jenara Montgomery of the home; three brothers, Timothy J. Mungo, Aerion J. Brown, and Dakhiya J. Montgomery all of Hartsville, South Carolina; two sisters, Shardazia Monique Mungo and Ne’Jarie K. Montgomery both of Hartsville, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Ms. Brenda Montgomery of Hartsville, South Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Ms. Mary Josey of Hartsville, South Carolina; two uncles, Cedric (Tarish) Montgomery of Hartsville, South Carolina and Robert L. (Uricka) Josey of Washington, District of Columbia; four aunts, LaShonda (Calvin) Robinson, Ny’Kira Montgomery, Levelle I. Johnson, and Charlena J. Parks all of Hartsville, South Carolina; a special aunt, Deidre Paterson; his godparents, Avis Jackson, Kelly Woods, James Smith, and Tyreze Johnson all of Hartsville, South Caroklina; three special friends, Tracey Kirkland, Keldric Martin, and Jamarius Huggins all of Hartsville, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
