Jermaine L. Hunt

Jermaine Lanorris “ Lil Jay” Hunt was born in Florence, South Carolina to Derrick and Gerald Denise MaCrae on February 12, 1985. Jermaine left his earthly body on August 7, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville TN.

Jermaine attended West Florence High School. After high school he attended college for welding. At the time of his death he was employed with Walker Boatyard in Paducah, Kentucky. 41 years on this earth, and in every single one of them, he left a mark that cannot be erased. The oldest of three on each side of the family, he carried that role with grace - with intelligence, warmth, and a presence that filled every room he walked into. Handsome, lively, and unforgettable- that was Jermaine.

Jermaine defined loyalty. He defined love and though our hearts are heavy today, we carry him forward in the way we live, the way we love each other, and the way we show up-just like we no always did. Rest easy, Lil Jay. Jermaine you did your part beautifully.
