Mr. Jerome Davis was born on April 12, 1950, the son of the late Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Easter Mable Davis in Florence, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, after a long illness.
Jerome was educated in the Public Schools of Florence, South Carolina and was a Wilson High School Class of 1968 graduate.
At an early age, Jerome joined Saint Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church in Johnsonville, South Carolina, where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He served in the capacity of a Senior Steward, and received a Steward Certification, as well as several other Certifications, and was a Commission on Finance Member. In 2011, he joined Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Florence, South Carolina. Jerome received his Certificate of Ordination as a Man of God. Jerome served on the Sons of Allen African Methodist Episcopal Men in Ministry organization.
Jerome served as a Former Member of Mount Pisgah Lodge #437 and also as a Former Member of the Order of Eastern Star Bowers Chapter #295.
Jerome received several Certifications as a Security Officer and also in Law Enforcement.
Jerome was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Easter Mable Davis and a sister, Lounell Davis.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Mary; three daughters, Tanya (Lawrence) Duncan, Jennifer Davis and Natishia Davis; two sons, Robert Timothy (Kristin) Davis and Moses Jerod Davis; two stepsons, Richard Smalls and Ronald Smalls; numerous grandchildren and grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence (Barbara) Davis and Lloyd Bristol; two sisters, Patricia “Patty Faye” (Allen) Walker and Debra (Roy) Redden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
