“I in them and you in me so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
John 17:23
John “Wesley” Beach was born on October 6th, 1947, in Kent, South Carolina, to the late Sammie and Maebelle Trappier Beach. On Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, he peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, devoted service, and unconditional love for his family, church, and community.
At an early age, Wesley accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a dedicated member of Pee Dee Baptist Church. For more than four decades, he faithfully served as a Deacon, carrying out his responsibility with humility, integrity, and steadfast devotion. His commitment to the church was evident in his willingness to serve wherever he was needed.
Wesley was raised by the late Florence Trappier McKenzie in Pamplico, South Carolina, where he was educated in the Pamplico public school system. Before retiring, he was employed at the La-Z-Boy Chair Company for 28 years. After retirement, he spent his free time at church, cutting grass for the elderly, and cleaning the community in his own way.
Wesley was married to the late Gwendolyn Graham Beach for 38 years. To this union they were blessed with three children. Wesley has a bright and uplifting spirit that could light up any room. Always in good spirits, he loved making people laugh and was a natural jokester. His positive attitude and joyful heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
