Josephine Davis

Mrs. Josephine James Davis was born on July 21, 1940, the only daughter of the late Maybelle Dixon. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Josephine was educated in the Public Schools of Florence County.

Josephine was a member of Saint Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina, under the leadership of Reverend Terrence Washington.

On July 13, 1974, Josephine was united in marriage to the late John N. Davis, Jr.

In addition to her husband, John N. Davis, Jr., she was preceded indeath by her mother; and a daughter, baby girl Josephine.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are: three daughters, Delphine (Ricky) Graves of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Diane Diggs of Florence, South Carolina, and Victoria Davis of Florence, South Carolina; one son, Gregory (Jeanette) James of Florence, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Yoko Robinson, Ricky Graves, Jr., Dominique Davis, Ciera Davis, Patrick Graves, Nydia Robinson, Shiquita Davis, Chante’ Graves, Gregg James, Jr., and Andre’us Diggs; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
