La'Keisha Brown

LaKeisha Denise Brown was born September 17, 1977 in Florence, South Carolina to Johnnie Mae (Randy) Harrison and Harvey (Margaret) Davis. She peacefully made her transition into eternal rest on Friday, June 25, 2021.

LaKeisha was affectionately called “Big Brown” by her loved ones and friends. She was a very loving, caring, kind considerate person. She was very passionate about making others feel loved. “Big Brown” never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone she came in contact with. She always had something to say to make you smile. She will be greatly missed by family, dear friends, and her community which she loved greatly.

LaKeisha attended Risen Church in Florence, South Carolina under the leadership of Pastor Dominic Owens.

LaKeisha was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe Nathan Brown, Sr.; an aunt, Tasha Brown; an uncle, Joe Nathan Brown, Jr.; a nephew, Treshawn Cooper; a grandson, Kashton Brown; and paternal grandparents, Willard Davis and Essie Mae Davis.

LaKeisha leaves to cherish her precious memories: her parents, Johnnie Mae (Randy) Harrison and Harvey (Margaret) Davis; a fiancé, Kevin Morris; four children, Keshawn Brown, Bridgett Wilson, Jamiere Wilson and Sarah Strickland all of Florence, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Josiah “King” Witherspoon and Ivory McCoy both of Florence, South Carolina; seven sisters, LaNeisha Brown (Craeshawn), Vicki Hunter, Vadia Hunter, Torie Pigett, and Jacquelyn Cannon all of Florence, South Carolina, and Tabitha Jackson of Naples, Florida; four brothers, Christopher Brown, Maurice Gibson, Troy Hunter, and Travis Hunter all of Florence, South Carolina; a god-sister, Monicra Givens of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Please keep the family of La'Keisha D. Brown in your thoughts and prayers.
