Mrs. Lawrencenia Samuel Myers, the daughter of the late Mae “Nana” Jackson and late Lawrence Samuel was born July 11, 1947, in Darlington County. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at The Carolinian Retirement Community.
Lawrencenia received her formal education in Florence Public School System. She was a proud graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1966, where she played basketball.
In 1970, Lawrencenia was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, the late Nathaniel Myers. To this union one child was born, Linda.
At an early age, Lawrencenia was baptized and joined Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. William P. Diggs, where she served on the Usher Board.
Lawrencenia was employed at Diana Shop, Treasure City and Kroger, where she retired. She later gained employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Private Duty Certified Nursing Assistant until she retired.
In addition to her parents, Mae “Nana” Jackson and Lawrence Samuel, Lawrencenia was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Isabella Lanae “Bella” Wilds; five brothers, Baby Lawrence, Jr., Robert Samuel, Frank Samuel, Curley Samuel and Lonnie Samuel; and three sisters, Lillie Mae Lee, Sally Samuel, and Elizabeth Turner.
The family and friends most treasured memories of Lawrencenia will be her beautiful smile, wonderful conversations, and exceptional cooking. Her enjoyment of traveling, love of family, but most of all her love of the Lord Saviour will be engraved upon our hearts.
Lawrencenia leaves to cherish her precious memories; a daughter, Linda Myers Wilds of Florence, South Carolina; two grandsons, Charles Eric Wild, Jr. and Quincy Wilds both of Florence, South Carolina; one great grandson, Carter Major Wilds of Florence, South Carolina; a stepson, Quincy Fontel Jackson of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister, Evangelist Magnolia Johnson of Florence, South; one brother-in-law, Jeff Allen Myers of Florence, South Carolina; a special niece, Pamala Limas; two special nephews, Jerry Turner of Englewood, New Jersey and Steven Johnson of Florence, South Carolina; a special friend of The Carolinian Retirement Community, Patricia Cunningham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended church family, extended Carolinian Retirement Community, and friends.
Please keep the family of Lawrencenia S. Myers in your thoughts and prayers.
