The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC carefully considered this recommendation and ask that additional guest please participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Lendell Robinson will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery, 561-573 Campbell Street, Hartsville, South Carolina. Interment will follow, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.

Lendell Robinson, Sr. was born during the great depression on June 7, 1933 to the late Leonia and Queenie Robinson. He grew up and attended school in Hartsville, South Carolina. He later served in the United States Army. After a short stay in the military

Lendell migrated to New York. He worked as a brick mason for several years before deciding to retire, leave New York and move back to his hometown of Hartsville, South Carolina, in 1996.

Lendell was the father of five children, Rhonda Robinson (deceased), Lendell Robinson, Jr., Bryan Robinson, Rhamgurav Robinson, and Charles Robinson. He leaves this world honored by thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He has one surviving sister, Mrs. Delores Glaze (Fred) and predeceased by eleven siblings.

Lendell had a larger-than-life personality and he loved his family. He was the best family historian. He could tell you a little bit about everybody’s son, sister, daughter, and brother.

Lendell will be greatly missed.

Grief is the price we pay for love. But don’t cry because his life is over, smile because you got to know him.

Public Viewing will be held 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM , Friday, January 15, 2021 at Mount Olive Word of Life Church, 812 South Sixth Street, Hartsville, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends at 1307 Martin Luther King Drive, Hartsville, South Carolina, 29550. Due to COVID-19 MASK are required!
