Leroy Cade, Jr.

Mr. Leroy Cade, Jr. was born on September 15, 1947 to the late Leroy Cade, Sr. and Rosa Grant Cade. On Tuesday, January 11, 2022 he was called home for eternal rest.

Leroy was educated in the public schools of Florence County School District One graduating from Wilson Sr. High School Class of 1965. He was voted “Best Dressed Person”.

In 1966, he was drafted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam War in 1968. He received the following decoration medals: National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (Bronze Service Star), Marksman (Rifle), Army Commendation Medal. He treasured his collection of memorabilia about the U.S. Army.

After his tour was over he became employed as a U.S. Postal Worker.

Leroy was an avid Chef who loved to cook at home and local restaurants.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents.

Leroy leaves to cherish loving memories of five sisters, Evelina C. Reed of Florence, SC, Joan (J.D.) Heath and Rose (James) Thompson both of Charlotte, NC, Mary R. Cade and Patricia (Wallace) Hyman both of Florence, SC; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relative and friends.
