I can't believe that it has been an entire year, but my heart still feels like it was broken today.

I was so sad when I first heard about Mr. Leverne Harris. My human heart began to hurt and I felt angry. How could this happen to such a wonderful family? But God spoke through Mrs. Alma as she so eloquently shared her faith with me. What she described was her husband's homecoming! Even in her grief, the Lord used her as an instrument of hope and peace. I will continue to hurt for the family of friends of Leverne, as I know he was a good man. But, I am so amazed as God's healing power and the strength He has given His people. I would see Leverne from time to time when he and his family would come over to my parents' house--sometimes to fish. I will imagine him fishing the tranquil waters of heaven from now on. What a lovely image! Prayers lifted for all... -Kendall Chapman Perrow

Alma, I know the hurt of losing a husband all too well. I don't know how you feel, but I know the pain I experienced. Please know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers. Although you will hear it said, "time will heal," I cannot echo those sentiments, but what I can tell you is that with time, it becomes more bearable... be encouraged to know that there are others who share in your grief during your time of bereavement. My heart is broken. I saw him grow from boy to young man. Always respectful and kind. Know that our Creator has made a special provision, by means of his Son, to let us see our loved ones again. Those asleep in death will be awaken. My love to the family. Love and prayers , Linda Edwards and family.
