Luther Mitchell

Mr. Luther Mitchell, son of the late Rosalee Mitchell-Johnson and the late Roy Brooks was born March 4, 1954 in Florence, South Carolina. He passed away in Winter Haven, Florida on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the age of 67.

Luther attended Florence County Public Schools in Florence, South Carolina.

Luther a self-employed entrepreneur, loved farming, landscaping, and was an avid fisherman.

Luther was predeceased by his parents, Rosalee Mitchell-Johnson and Roy Brooks; a brother, James Lee; a sister, Geraldine Swinton; and a nephew, Manelle Mitchell.

Luther is lovingly remembered by his sister, Delores (Thomas) Swinton, two brothers, Samuel (Sharon) Mitchell and Roosevelt Mitchell; an uncle, Roscoe Swinton; one nephew, Maurice Mitchell; three nieces; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
