Ms. Mary Frances Barnes 85, the daughter of the late Henry S. Barnes and the late Katie Bell Davis Barnes was born October 3, 1938, in Montogomery, Alabama. After an extended illness, she passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024.
Mary Frances affectionally known as “Frances” was formally educated at Golden Elementary School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida. Later, she moved to Westbury, New York.
Mary gave her life to Christ at an early. She was employed with Recco in New York. Several years later, Mary gained employed with Acme Bus Service as a Bus Driver and retired as a United States Postal Service worker.
“Frances” a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother loved the Lord and wanted the best for her family. She was firm and sterned, but she was lovable to everyone.
“Frances” was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kertreain Fields: two sisters; and four brothers.
“Frances” leaves to cherish her precious memories: a daughter, Jacqueline Fountain of Westbury, New York; nine grandchildren, James Fields, Latoisha Coleman Fields, Leon Fields, Ebony Vega Fields, Lafrance Portlock Fountain, Joe Fountain, Anthony Fountain, Jonathan Hooks and Fredrick Samuels; numerous great grandchildren; five sisters, Judie L. Barnes, Karen D, Bradley, Veronica F. Stone, Josephine F. Murray, Barbara A. McAllister; three brothers, Victor Barnes, Ronald F. Barnes and Ned Barnes and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
