Naomi F. Stevenson

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Naomi Fountain Stevenson. On Friday, February 10, 2023, God open the gates of Heaven and He welcomed Naomi to her heavenly resting place.

Naomi was born on June 5, 1934, in Chesterfield County. She was the second of nine children born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie and Luella Hawkins Fountain.

At an early age, Naomi attended both Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Ousleydale Missionary Baptist Church located in Hartsville, South Carolina. She later joined Hartsville Household of Faith Church, under the leadership of the late Bishop R. O. Johnson, where she was baptized.

She attended the Public School System in Darlington County.

On February 3, 1952, Naomi was joined in holy matrimony to the late Leslie Stevenson. To this union, they were blessed with two children, the late Cora Genova Stevenson and the late Travis Warren Stevenson.

Naomi loved to attend church, her family and working.

In addition to her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Fountain and Luella Hawkins Fountain; Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Stevenson; one daughter, Cora Genova Stevenson; a son, Travis Warren Stevenson; three brothers, Willie M. Fountain, Sammie L. Fountain and Lynwood L. Fountain; two sisters, Louise F. Marigault and Ramona F. Robinson; one granddaughter, La Taja Washington.

Naomi leaves to cherish her precious memories: a daughter, Delphina F. Washington; fourteen grandchildren; one great greatgrandchild; two sisters, Lois F. Butler, and Katie F. Manson both of Hartsville, South Carolina; one brother, Howard Fountain of Lamar, South Carolina; four granddaughters, Zenohia N. Stevenson, Katrina Washington, Steviett Scott and Mesha Hickman; one aunt, Roberta Fountain of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and  Pastor/Elder Elect Levon Thomas & Hartsville Household of Faith Church Family.
