Mr. Nathaniel “Nat” Myers, the son of the late Stephen Myers and Lillie Bell Cain Myers was born April 12, 1946 in Florence County. He went home to be with his Lord and Savoir on Friday, February 5, 2021 at MUSC Florence Health.

Nathaniel was a graduate of Gibbs High School Class of 1966, located in Pamplico, South Carolina.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, served in the Vietnam War, received a Purple Heart, and was discharged with an Honorable Discharge.

In 1970, Nathaniel met and married the love of his life, Lawrencenia Samuel Myers.

At an early age, Nathaniel joined Mt. Sinai Holiness Church in Florence, South Carolina and later became a member of Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Calvin E. Robinson, Jr.

He gained employment with National Welders and later as a Cab Driver for State Taxi. He drove Cab # 54.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Myers and Lillie Bell Cain Myers; two brothers, Curtis Myers and Melvin Myers; and a sister, Rena Lee Bridges.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Lawrencenia of 51 years; a daughter, Linda Myers Wilds; a son, Quincey Fontel Jackson; two grandchildren, Quincey Wilds and Charles Wilds, Jr.; a brother, Jeff Allen Myers, a sister-in-law, Evangelist Magnolia Johnson; a special nephew, Jerry Turner; and a host of other nephews; nieces; cousins, other relatives; extended church family, and friends.

Please keep the family of Mr. Nathaniel Myers in your thoughts and prayers.

The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC carefully considered this recommendation and ask that additional guest please participate via live-streaming if it is authorized by the family.
