Mrs. Pauline Louise Gore was born December 30, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Eleanor Carlton Betts and William Stanley Betts. She departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2021.
Pauline’s formal education began as she attended the Public Schools in Cleveland, Ohio. She gained Higher Education at South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She later pursued and attained a Master’s Degree, in Elementary Education from Lesley College.
Pauline married Donald Gore on May 26, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio and this union was blessed with two children. They subsequently moved to South Carolina to raise their family.
Pauline spent her career educating others as an Elementary School Teacher in Sumter, Darlington, Lee and Florence Counties. She retired as an Educator in Lee County.
Pauline leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Donald Gore of Florence, South Carolina; a son, Donald Gore, Jr, of Czech, Republic; a daughter, Janeille Lewis of Cary, North Carolina; a grandson, Alan Roger Lewis, Jr. of Cary, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Avery Lewis of Cary, North Carolina; two nephews, Carlton Betts and Clifford Betts both of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Terri Gore of Cleveland, Ohio and Delphine Betts of Detroit, Michigan; other relatives, and dear friends.
