Prince Equan Lee Williams was born on February 12, 2013 in Paterson, New Jersey at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, the oldest of a set of twins, born to Althea Wilkerson and Christopher Williams. He died Sunday, December 6, 2020.

Equan attended school in New Jersey until his family relocated to Florence, South Carolina. He then attended Dewey L. Carter Elementary School in Effingham, South Carolina from kindergarten to 2nd grade.

Equan was a child full of life and love even though he been sickly, he did above and beyond like he was trying to convince you that he could, I say you because he knew he could.

Equan was a Momma’s boy and always had a beautiful smile on his face. He was sweet and respectful at all cost. He never liked his Mom to leave him anyplace, he wanted to be with her.

Equan will be missed by his family. We thank God for the time we had with him and he will always live in our hearts.

Equan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Terry Williams, Sr. and his oldest brother, Christopher Lee Williams, Jr.

Equan leaves to cherish precious memories: his mother and father, Althea Wilkerson of Florence, South Carolina and Christopher Williams of Paterson, New Jersey; two brothers, a twin, Tyon Williams of Florence, South Carolina and Chrishod Williams of Paterson, New Jersey; two sisters, Ailayah Jenkins and Jalayah Williams both of Florence, South Carolina; a maternal grandmother, Vanessa Capers of Florence, South Carolina; a maternal grandfather, Edward Wilkerson of Paterson, New Jersey; a paternal grandmother, Meg “Rose” Thomas Williams of Sumter, South Carolina; maternal great grandparents, Gloria Capers of Florence, South Carolina and Van Johnson of Paterson, New Jersey; a paternal great grandmother, Joy Truesdale of Paterson, New Jersey; a maternal great great-grandmother, Donnie Johnson of Florence, South Carolina; four maternal aunts, Shanora Wilkerson, Edzeria Wilkerson, Arasia Wilkerson, and Makayla Capers all of Florence, South Carolina; an uncle, Rajon James of Florence, South Carolina; three paternal aunts, Jasmine Williams, Leanna Williams and Alexandra Williams of Sumter, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives; and friends of the family.
