Robert C. Green

Robert Calvin Green was born April 30, 1941 in Florence, South Carolina. He entered eternal rest on Friday, August 21, 2026. He was the oldest of seven siblings of the late Willie and Mattie A. Green. 

Robert affectionately called “‘R.C.” attended Florence Public Schools and graduated. He moved to Brooklyn N.Y. in the early sixties and worked as a Long Shoreman, then later held employment with Pepsi Cola and Federal Express. 

On September 15, 1962 Robert married Cora L. Green who preceded him in death. Robert & Cora had two daughters Regina Green Maynard (Vernon) and Cynthia A. Green.

 In addition to his parents and wife, R.C. had three sisters and two brothers who preceded him in death, Mary Edith (Bennie) Gordon, Cynthia L. (Elvis) Ford, Mary Pat (Rayfield) Gordon, Willie (Brenda) Green and Jimmy L. Green. 

He will forever be missed by his daughters, Regina (Vernon) Green Maynard and Cynthia A. Green; two grandchildren, Devante Valentine Wallace and Jo Vanni Cardinal Maynard; his beloved sister, Luberta (Lorenzo) Green; special cousins raised as sisters and brothers, Miriam Howard, Geneva Howard Brown, Susan L. Howard, Cornelia Howard, Melvin Howard and Ernest Ray Howard and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
