Rogers “Tootsie” Judge was born in Florence, SC on August 19, 1948 to the late Mince Judge and the late Alma Judge of Pamplico, SC. He was the youngest of ten children. He transitioned from this life on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Rogers was educated in the public schools of Florence County and graduated with the Class of 1966 of Gibbs High School in Pamplico, SC. After high school, he honorably served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Roger then attended Florence-Darlington Technical College where he received several associate degrees. These degrees allowed him to serve others with his mechanic talents and also specialize in heating and cooling.

Rogers became a member of Mill Branch AME Church at an early age and dedicated his life to his church. He served as Steward Pro-Tem, President of the Crusader Choir, member of the Sons of Allen Male Auxiliary, Men at Work Male Chorus, Lay Organization and Nursing Home Outreach Ministry. He also served as a delegate to the Northeast Annual Conference.

Rogers was a pillar in his community. He was a “jack of all trades” and was always willing and ready to help however he could. He loved being in his truck hauling cars. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Royal Cruisers Motorcycle Club. He was also a member of Mill Branch Lodge #231 and the Men of Standard Male Chorus.

Rogers was married to Betty Jo Timmons on January 6, 1968. To this union two daughters was born, Roselyn Judge and Katrina “Nicci” Judge.

In addition to his father and mother the late Mince Judge and Alma Judge; he had five brothers and three sisters who preceded him in death, Alvin, Betty, Dorothy, Nedine, Carnetha, Ervin, John Wayne, and Jimmy.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Betty Jo Timmons Judge; two loving daughters, Roselyn Judge and Katrina “Nicci” Judge; five grandchildren, Jamea, Jaylen, Jawaun, Kaiden, and Kaelyn; three great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jailyne and Ayden; one brother, Reverend Frank (Annie Ruth) Judge; a special sister Janice (Ronnie) Kennedy; a special nephew Leonard “Ricky” (Mae Dell) Judge; a host of brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, community brothers and sisters, and special friends.

The family will receive friends at the home starting Wednesday, February 18, 2026 - Friday, February 20, 2026 from 12 PM - 7 PM.
