The Governor of South Carolina advises to limit public gatherings to 50 guests or less to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Graveside Service for Mr. Sammie Lee Kelly, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Salem United Methodist Church, 5418 Old River Road, Florence, South Carolina. Interment will follow, directed by Smith Funeral Home of Florence, LLC.
Mr. Sammie Lee Kelly, Jr. was born November 14, 1963 to the late Sammie Lee Kelly and Barbara Ellen Brunson in Florence, South Carolina. He spent a significant part of his childhood in Salters, South Carolina raised by Martha Starling. Sammie graduated from Charles E. Murray High School in 1983 and moved from Salters to live in Florence until his death.
Mr. Sammie Lee Kelly, Jr. is survived three siblings, Michael Kelly, Hazel Rodgers and Debra Brunson; two nieces, Natasha Rodgers and Hazel Kelly; four nephews, Johnathan Wright, Nathaniel Rodgers, Ethan King and Elan King; as well as a host of loving friends and relatives.
Sammie was preceded in death by his brother, Harry and will be laid to rest with his father, Sammie Lee Kelly, Sr. on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
