Tyrone Burgess was born on June 8, 1972; the 6th child of Annie Profit Burgess and the late James Arthur Burgess, Sr. He transitioned on August 11, 2025 after an illness.
As a youth, Tyrone’s Christian journey began at Progressive Church of Jesus.
Tyrone was educated in the Florence County Public School System. He loved Wilson High School. Tyrone was also a talented Heavy Equipment Operator, Carpet and Tile Installer, Building Maintenance Professional, and a skilled Automotive Mechanic. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others and love for his family.
