Uylsses O. Kirby

Mr. Ulysses Orlando Kirby was born on October 3, 1943 in Florence, SC to the late Henry Kirby, Sr. and Martha A. Bullock Kirby. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

To his parents’ union, he was born the sixth child of fourteen children.

Ulysses often fellowshipped and worshiped with Hartsville Church of Christ, Hartsville, SC.

In his spare time, he enjoyed sleeping, drinking coffee and chatting with friends.

Ulysses was employed as a construction worker for many years. His life consisted of being in assisted living homes until he finally was able to spend time with the McPhail family when he was united as their family.

Ulysses leaves to cherish his fond memories are his last two siblings, Henry Kirby, Jr. of Florence, SC and Dorothy Lee Bourbour of Baltimore, MD; the McPhail Family of Florence, SC; friends of Hartsville Church of Christ, and other relatives and friends.
