Vernell confessed Christ as her Personal Savior at the age of 12 and lived a Fruitful Christian life. She remained connected and involved in the church. She loved hymns; she would sing along every chance she got as she was expressing her faith. She spent a lifetime caring for those who was unable to care for themselves.
In November 2019, Vernell moved to Florence, SC to be with her beloved niece LaDonna B. Pipkins. Vernell joined and fellowshipped virtually with Greater Gethsemane Apostolic Church under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth Swaringer.
In the wee hours on Good Friday morning, April 15, 2022, Vernell responded to the call of the Master and took her flight to her eternal home. She was a virtuous woman who will be sorrowfully missed by her family, extended family, and multitude of friends.
She has fought a good fight; she has kept the faith. God will wipe all tears away and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever.

Mrs. Lloyd was such a blessing to me. I will always cherish our conversations when I took her a fish dinner. She and Mr. Lloyd were great customers at our restaurant..\"Josie\'s Place \"

Mrs. Lloyd… take this with you. You came into my life and made a deposit of love, knowledge, and wisdom. You were always the same warm and sweet! And for some odd reason, you had a sweet place in your heart for me. For that I am grateful for the time and moments we shared.
Rest In Peace
