Wilbur Muldrow, Jr.

Mr. Wilbur "Junebug" Muldrow, Jr. was born on November 24, 1936 to the late Wilbur and Chole Muldrow in Florence, SC.

He peacefully made his transition into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Wilbur affectionately called "Junebug" was educated in the public schools of Florence, SC.

He was employed with Roger Williams Refrigerator for over 20 yrs as well as the Gangplank Seafood Restaurant for over 30 years.

Wilbur loved looking at his favorite shows on TV such as Gunsmoke, In the heat of the night, and Sanford and son.

He was gifted to play a rare instrument which he loved to play his harmonica. He loved to call the train, as he would say it.

Junebug loved to dance and was often called the “Dancing Machine” and “Mr. Get low to the floor Man”. He was a guy that didn’t mind and loved cleaning fish for other people.

Wilbur was united in holy matrimony to the late Mary Elizabeth Washington for 68 loving years. He loved his wife "Liz"! His favorite words were “Liz, I love you like a hog loves slop”.

Wilbur was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Muldrow Sr.; mother, Chole Williams Muldrow; brother, Sammie (Queenie) Muldrow; sister, Rosa (Archie) Brockington; brother in-law, Elijah Hennegan; three daughters, Mary and Martha Muldrow, Goldbora Naomi James, two he raised as his own, Elijah Washington Jr. and Laura Washington; and his loving wife of 68 years Mary Elizabeth Washington Muldrow.

Wilbur leaves to cherish his lasting memories one daughter, Joann (Gary) Boyd; two sons, Jerry Muldrow Jr. of Florence, SC and Roy Muldrow Jr. of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren, Blenda Muldrow Ford of the home, Marcus Muldrow, Tito Muldrow, Brenton Perry, Katrise Jeffrey, Dashell Gandy all of Florence, SC, Jasmine Witherspoon, Andrew Calvin Washington of CT; sixteen great-grandchildren, Jhakeia, Zedric of the home, Jhahiem, Ja'naya, Zy'Nise of the home, Gerard, Zy'Rheal, Ky'asya, Shaquille, Miqueve Jr., Jasmine, Brenton, Jr., Davontae, Brianna, Cherish, and Chance; one great great-granddaughter, Naomi; one brother, Thomas Muldrow; four sisters, Dorothy Hennegan, Brenda (Robert) Wilson, Anna Muldrow and Viola Brown all of Florence SC.; forty eight nieces and nephews and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends.
